Through my photographs, I can potentially inspire, give joy or make a person think something new and profound. That is a powerful and wonderful thing to be able to do.

I love makeup! I suggest using it, but using it right! To be honest, up until my mid-20’s I wasn’t one to wear much makeup. It's fun to play around with and create many different looks. For me, it's a way to enhance your natural beauty and its a lifesaver when you break out! Make up is a form of art. Just as you can express yourself through the clothes you wear and your hairstyle, you can do the same with makeup.

Stuart Weitzman’s Celebrity-Designed Shoes!
Setelah bekerja sama dengan Olivia Palermo untuk mendesain sepasang ‘strappy navy sandal trimmed in fuchsia ostrich feathers’, ternyata Stuart Weitzman sudah merekrut 3 aktris lainnya untuk menjadi guest designers untuk project “Young Hollywood Cares Collection”, dalam misinya untuk mendukung penelitian kanker ovarium. Dan siapa saja yang diajak untuk membuat “Young Hollywood Cares Collection”??
Tarrraaaa.. mereka adalah Scarlett Johansson, Michelle Tractenberg, dan juga Hayden Panettiere.
Ok, pertama ada ‘a longtime Weitzman fan’, Scarlett Johansson yang akan membuat sepasang sepatu “menswear-style cut-out oxford platform heel”, yang dipercantik dengan tali sepatu berwarna burgundy. Sepatu ini akan dijual seharga $425 (atau sekitar Rp.3.600.000-an).
Kemudian Michelle Tractenberg akan berkontribusi membuat ‘blue denim snakeskin platform pump with crystal and stud accents’. Dan harga yang dibandrol pun masih sama, yaitu $425. Sedangkan Hayden Panettiere lebih memilih untuk membuat ‘an edgy black suede bootie with a vertiginous heel and metal hardware’, dengan harga yang lebih tinggi $498 (atau sekitar Rp.4.255.000-an). Amy Winehouse Remembered By Fendi
We all must have been very surprised about Amy Winehouse news, one of the talented singer from UK, was found dead at her home in North London on Saturday (23 / 7). As published in the Women's Wear-fashion sites, Fendi was reported to be the only fashion house issued a statement in honor of Amy's gone at the age of 27 years. Fendi revealed:
"We met Amy in Paris, fresh from having won five Grammys. That night, everyone discovered that in addition to a genius voice Amy also had an exceptional and very British sense of humor. Having restyled the Fendi dress she was wearing that night, she said with a wink: 'Forgive my ignorance, I don't know anything about fashion....' and we are very sad for the loss of such a unique talent that in many ways transcended music, fashion, and culture."
Even Karl Lagerfeld, creative director of Fendi recognizes his missing of Amy, because he is a fan of Amy. Karl even called Amy as "the new Brigitte (Bardot), for her iconic hair, and had specially invited Amy to perform at the opening of Fendi's Avenue Montaigne store, during Paris Fashion Week in March 2008.

TREND ALERT: COLOR BLOCK
How do you feel about this colorful trend? Are you going along with it or not? Maybe just a little? Something that has really caught my attention this season is colour blocking trend. It is not a new trend as such but is definitely back with a big bang. Here I try to decode the trend and give my two cents on it. Since it’s the first of it kinds article from my side, I hope it makes a fun read.
Here’s my little rundown of how to color block. I’ll spare you all the dry history behind it and cut to the chase.
What is the colour blocking / Color Block?
Colour block fashion is one of the hottest new trends for the season. It combines the use of two or more blocks of colour in an ensemble. This could be for a top, bottom, tunic, a dress and even a handbag or shoes. Simply it means – creating an outfit by putting areas or blocks of solid color next to each other. It can include monotone, bright colours, muted colors, contrasting and complimentary colors. Clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories can all feature color block designs or can make up different blocks of color to be put together for a color block outfit.
For the most part this is what we do anyways when we dress, but Spring 11 “color blocking” is an exaggerated version. To get the color blocking look you want to go for bright and bold colors. There are some rules to follow, however, and here they are:
LOUDER THE BETTER: If there’s never been a better time to wear loud pops of color, it’s now. Take advantage of the opportunity to be loud for no reason and still be fabulous.
CLASHY ATTIRE ONLY: Don’t be afraid to clash. We’re so used to the same coordinating colors but try pink and red. Try navy and black. If you’re hesitant, you can always stick to the old faithful complementary color wheel (see below). That thing is fail proof.
K.I.S.S.: Keep It Simple Sister! This look will look best with neutral accessories. Grey is the new neutral tone. Grey belts, shoes, accessories will compliment your outfit nicely.
THREE’S THE CHARM: Stick to 2 or 3 colors max. Anymore than that and you’re borderline rubik’s cube. No bueno. I’d go for 3. It makes for a more interesting outfit.
If you’ve never used a color wheel before, don’t worry. All you need to know is how to draw a line straight through the middle of the wheel from one side to the other. This is how you identify which colors traditionally compliment each other.

And to test your guts, color blocked hair like me, dare to be me huh? LOL :) In my opinion it is really fun trend to sport this summer. Firstly it gives us the opportunity to pair colors which we won’t dare to combine together otherwise. Secondly what are summers without cheerful bright colors?? Gone is the season of muted warm shades. Its time to paint the town in all colors possible.
